I’ve been gone for a while. Had to take care of my health but it feels great to be back! I’ve missed posting on the blog and was really disappointed that I couldn’t get to it. But I’m BACK!!!
I try my hardest to stay away from the color black because its my favorite, so I figure adding a color to it makes it okay, LOL! Black and White will forever remain a classic color to me and I really love pairing it together. This Peter Pilotto for Target Collection skirt was so beautifully crafted and I love the mixed patterns and asymmetrical cut of it. The skirt makes its own statement and not much has to be done to pull it off. I simply paired it with a beaded and sequins bustier top with black lace-up heels. I added a dark lipstick for a dramatic touch and loved how everything came together. My first thought was to add a pop of color with the heels, but I decided against and kept the look classic by leaving it black. If you like the idea of adding a pop of color with your heels, bright yellow, royal blue or a bright orange, to name a few, will work well with this outfit. Try it on and see what works best for you. Getting dressed should always be fun.
Whenever I am “On the Run,” I try to choose a quick outfit that can easily be put together. As you can see by the pictures below, a quick outfit doesn’t mean that you will walk out the door looking like no effort was put into what you’re wearing. I define a quick outfit as something that can easily be put together, without looking like you got dressed in the dark. Because I am always in my closet, I truly know what’s in it. So you should always make note of outfits that can quickly be put together so that whenever you are “On the Run,” you can still look good while doing it!
