It Happened by Accident!

One of the things that I love about this mixing prints look, is that it happened by accident! I walked into the fitting room at Forever 21, with several items of clothing. I never get completely undressed (not including undergarments), unless I’m trying on something that requires me to remove both my top and bottom. What that means, is I’ll keep on my bottom, while trying on a top and vice versa. This habit of mine is what caused me to fall in love with this mix print look. I initially tried the Floral Print Skirt on with a simple black top (BORING!) which I then removed to try on the top with a different bottom. I truly loved the contrast of the two prints together, that I couldn’t leave the store without it. I truly fell in love by accident! But that’s what I love about fashion, you just play with it and you never know what will work. And what’s great about these items separately, is that I can easily pair the skirt with a solid color top and pair the top with some white jeans. I love having versatile times in my closet. I am definitely “balling on a budget” and I need to be able to maximize my closet.

Whenever the opportunity presents itself to add a pop of color, I don’t shy away from it, which is why I decided to complete the look with some royal blue peep toe heels. For those of you who like to keep it more simple, pairing it with some black heels will work just as nice. I also went a little bold pairing this look with a checkered black-and-white clutch. It just felt like the right thing to do, LOL!

So tell me: What do you like? What would you change or do different?

I loveee this look! The three prints work so well together and the pop of color in the shoe made it even more interesting!
